Admiral Frank & Mary
NUDECREWZ Charters is operated by Frank Lombino aka "Admiral Barebuns", he is a NAUI, SSI and NASDS dive instructor with over 25 years instruction experience. He is also American Sailing Association qualified and an experienced sailor. NUDECREWZ was originated by Frank & Mary over 18 years ago. They are both are members of American Association of Nude Recreation (AANR), the Florida Association of Nude Recreation (FANR) and Caliente Resort in Land O Lakes, Florida. NUDECREWZ Charters adheres to the ethics & standards of both organizations. Frank is also founder and past-president of the Nautical Nudist Dive and Boating Club, the only club of its kind operated exclusively by and for nudists. You can find it at www.nauticalnudist.com.
NUDECREWZ offers those who would like to try a clothing optional vacation in the privacy of small groups the opportunity to do so in there own time frame.
Spending most of his time on the cruises in the buff, he decided to charter his own sailing yachts, and make them entirely nudist friendly. Since then NUDECREWZ has made several trips to the Bahamas, BVI, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines and Belize
The name NUDECREWZ was selected because in addition to being able to make the trips in the buff, everyone aboard gets the opportunity (if they wish) to be a part of the crew. Each day, after a hardy breakfast the charts of the area are taken out and the crew gathers to decide what the day's activities will include. Diving, snorkeling, sailing, finding a new beach to explore, or an exotic anchorage or just lying back to soak up the rays and enjoy a good book. Returning with "tan lines" is a rarity on any of Frank's adventures.
The success of NUDECREWZ is that it fills a niche, it's not the 1000+ luxury liner, a 100 passenger windjammer or a mom and pop cruise out of Miami or the Virgin Islands. It's a group of landlubbers island hopping in the Caribbean where ever and when ever they want. There is no time schedule not even a watch to be back on the boat from an island visit. The crew gets the true feeling of being a part of the excitement of visiting the many islands up close and personal even anchoring on a deserted island beach for an hour or a day.
Once people enjoy sailing yachts with a familiar crew and captain they like to idea of being able to travel throughout the Caribbean with the same friends and sailing buddies. Frank favors larger catamarans above 42ft, he rarely has anyone get seasick on a trip and a attributes this to the stable sailing of the cats. In fact if we run into rough weather or uncomfortable seas we just pull into a protected harbor, anchor, and hoist up the cocktail flag.
It's not unusual for crew members to stay in close contact after the trip, exchanging pictures and stories about events which happen during the trip.
